Description
A rich, naturally sweetened pumpkin spice latte made with real pumpkin puree and fresh spices. This kid-friendly recipe is ready in under 10 minutes and offers a cozy café experience at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup (60g) 100% pure pumpkin puree
- 1 cup (240ml) strong brewed coffee (or decaf/tea)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (whole, oat, or almond)
- 1–2 tablespoons (15-30ml) pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon (2g) pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) heavy cream
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, milk, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk the mixture over medium-low heat until hot and smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Do not let it boil.
- Brew the strong coffee separately.
- Pour the warm pumpkin milk mixture into a mug.
- Slowly pour the hot coffee over the pumpkin milk and stir gently to combine.
- Stir in the heavy cream.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spice if desired.
- Top with whipped cream and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice. Serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure you use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Whisk vigorously to prevent clumping. For a vegan version, swap dairy milk for oat or almond milk and use coconut cream. The pumpkin milk base can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
